Blog Giveaway

I just love giving stuff away. I've said this before, and it's true. I am blessed beyond measure not only as an author, but in life in general. I pay it forward as often as I can. Today, I want to pay it forward by giving away not only a$5 Amazon gift card, but also an ARC of Frey. All you have to do is send me an email at faithgibsonauthor@gmail.com using the subject blog giveaway, and tell my why you want to read Frey.

I will randomly choose one winner from the entries on Sunday.

Frey is up for pre-order at the special price of $2.99. It will be $3.99 when it releases. Get your copy here:  Frey Pre-Order

Thank you for following my journey. Whoever you are.

Frey Cover Reveal and Contest

I am so in love with this character. Frey is the biggest and baddest of all the Gargoyles, yet he also has the biggest heart. There are many facets to this male, and I wanted to bring that out in the cover.

There is a cover reveal contest on my facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/faithgibsonauthor

Just go to the page and click on the giveaway link at the top.

Frey is slated for an August 11 release. I am planning on doing a pre-order this time. So very excited about this book.

The End is Just The Beginining

Earlier today I wrote "the end" on Book 4 in The Stone Society series. I cannot wait for this book to be out in the cosmos for everyone to read. It's heartbreaking with a side of happily ever after.

For me, the hardest part about writing is editing. I write whatever pops in my head until I get to "the end" and then I go back and read the story. Sometimes I love what I've written, and sometimes I think what the fuck? Sometimes my editors ask me what the fuck? It's those moments I know the words have to either come out, or totally be revamped.

Today, I wrote the end and looked at my word count. 99,986.  I knew that wouldn't last. As soon as I remembered a few things I meant to write, it was over 100,000.  To me, that's a lot of words considering my first book in the series that introduced the story and characters came in under 80,000.
So tonight I'll take a step back, reach for a book totally out of my genre, and chill. Or cry. The book is supposed to make me cry ugly. I hate crying ugly, but I so love Sandrine Gasq Dion's books.

Burgers on the grill, cold beer in my hand. Later, lots of tissues.  Tomorrow, back to Frey.
