tsu

with all the changes coming to Facebook, it seems that tsu is the new place to be. For me, it has been a slow start. Yes i'm on sue, (that's how you pronounce it) and hopefully everyone will float on over there and find me.  Here is the link:

Just click on it and it'll take you right to my page. Personally, 2014 was stellar and a large part of it was due to facebook and the ability to advertise my books there.  If they take that away, I will be advertising elsewhere.  I hope you will find me and my books on tsu.

looking ahead

Now that the holidays are coming to a close, I can focus on writing and editing. 2014 has been one of the best years of my life, and I am truly looking forward to the new year and all the good things that are in store.

2014 saw the release of Rafael, Book 1 in the Stone Society. 2015 will see books 2,3, and 4.  I have book signings and writer's retreats planned. It is going to be a busy year and I am ready for it.

I forgot the fudge

In a holiday season filled with hustle and bustle, I usually have that one thing I need to get at the last minute, but this year I forgot to make the fudge. This isn't just any fudge. No. This is the Fantasy Fudge recipe, the original recipe, from the back of Marshmallow Creme.  I make it every year as a present to my father in law.  The man lives on a farm and has just about anything and everything he could want. What does he want? My fudge. And you better believe I'm going to make it for him. Even if I have to take my on vacation, sleepy eyed, bed hair self out at 7 am when the store opens.

I just thank all that's holy that i don't have to go anywhere near a Walmart.

Then, and only then, will i get back to editing.

Merry Christmas Eve, y'all.

A dreary day full of awesomeness

I don't mind the rain, especially when I am at home with my girls (of the 4-legged variety). The weather may have been abysmal outside, but inside the atmosphere was full of love. I am in the editing stage of Gregor. I spent all morning looking for those "no-no" words that I tend to use way too often.

My writing process is simple. If it comes to mind, I write it down. I don't worry too much about punctuation and format until after the story is complete. Once I write "the end" I go back and edit spelling, double words, stupid words, what the fuck did I say there words.  One of my editors likes to put notes in the margin.  When I see "Boss" I know I wrote something stupid, or used the same word ten times in one paragraph.

I managed, a month later than I should have, to get Rafael loaded to All Romance Ebooks. Why did I wait?  There was something in the back of my mind telling me I had to wait. Nope, that was another site. So I formatted Rafael into mobi and epub versions and got the book loaded.  Just another place to sell the book, get it out there, continue my brand.

I also remembered to check tsu.  Sue (as it's pronounced) is so much like facebook but still so foreign. I have earned 3 whole pennies.  whatevs.  If you are on Sue, follow me:

https://www.tsu.co/AuthorFaithGibson

If you're not, join and add a penny to my pile.

Now, I think I will take a break from the writing world to watch a movie...

Gregor - Stone Society Book 2

At just under 83,000 words, I typed "the end" on Gregor. Book 2 in the Stone Society was easier to write, as it didn't have to set up the world, the backstory, all the characters, etc. I was able to take Gregor and Tessa, and run with them.

Now for the hard part: editing. Stay tuned for the cover.  It's going to be hot!
